I was in a very good relationship for 6 years, one day she turned around out of the blue and said she had met someone else at work. She took my brand new car, my dog, almost took my house which bankrupted me in order to keep it, I had spent £5k on a 5 star holiday to Cancun which was non refundable where I was going to propose, showed her the enement ring after she said she wanted to break up told her what I had planned on the holiday and all she did was give me tips on how to sell it. I went on the holiday and was miserable for two weeks, came back to only to deal with lawyers and morte companies , after that was done and things where looking up my company announced redundancies and my job was at risk, oh and then my brother died of cancer, that was all in one year. As rocky said 'Nothing hits harder than life but its not how hard you can hit back its how hard you can get hit and keep on going'

Happy new Freedom, mate :) yes, being in a relationship and all is cool, BUT..... now you can do whatever you want, whenever you want, and you have noone to put you down or mix up your plans. I'm getting married soon and I am missing that a lot so.... be careful what you pick :)

Hey buddy, three months ago I ended 4,5 years relationship. It's not easy, but after some time, it will be better. Still better break up now then after 10 years. Just try to go out with friends and don't stay home alone, because you will end up in depress. Be strong buddy, you are not alone.

Happened to me few months ago, went through hell, thought for a long time I wouldn't be able to cope with it. Just do whatever you love, empty your head, find new occupations you wanted to do but didn't have the time back then, travel, see friends, throw parties if that's your thing. And then one morning you'll wake up and you won't have a single tear left to shed, you'll see something that will make you smile, you'll realize that you manage to spend hours without thinking about her/him, you'll start being able to think about other people, and most important, you realized you had good times with her/him, and that a lot more is yet to come Hang on, life's worth every single second !... well except when watching Twilight, there it's wasted

Read the following poems. Steps by Hermann Hesse Invictus by William Ernest Henley "Magic dwells in each beginning" Brother, you'll survive this and get out this mess stronger than before.

Not the lowest point in your life, there will be worse breakups. BUT it's also not the highest point in your life, that is yet to come, keep forging forward, it's waiting for you, always!

On the bright side at least you didn’t spend 10 years with her, had kids, then she divorced you, took half your money, got awarded a ridiculous amount of alimony and child support and got full custody of the kids and left you with nothing and barely any money to survive. All you have is a broken heart, so it’s not so bad.

Hey stranger! I know it's "just" from Aang but he once said “When we reach our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change.” also consider uncle Irohs words “If you look for the light, you can often find it.But if you look for the dark that is all you will ever see.” I know how you feel, recently had the same stuff. But well, now it's better and I hope your life will get better soon, too! Good luck and best wishes :) I believe in you!

Get laid straight away even if you have to pay for it, smoke a couple of joints, give it two weeks then start talking to people on tinder or social media...

Everyone will pass by something likr that in their life But calm down, time cures ANYTHING, it is just hard to believe, but it is true You will be fine, just need to keep yourself alive and wait for a time...

It hurts (an inmensurable amount) you’ll cry to sleep, every place where you were together is a memory now, overwhelming, you will play out all the scenarios, wonder what went wrong, at the end, maybe not today, maybe not next month, but you will be fine... and the pain will fade-away, and those memories will no longer be painful. Good luck my fellow ger, we are in the same boat.

Hey I finished my relation ship of 3 years a year ago, I still think about her and my mind won’t stop, and every time I try to go sleep these thoughts fill my mind making me unable to sleep, it’s been like this for many months you’ll get use to it, I recommend you to keep your friends close to you.
