Sau đó lại lấy sườn ra, phết lên một lớp mật ong trộn với chút nước, tiếp tục nướng thêm 5 phút hoặc đến khi thấy sườn chín là được.
Muốn làm sườn nướng ngon bạn cần chọn loại sườn có phần thăn thịt dày, lẫn mỡ ít đồng thời phần xương dẹt, nhỏ. Ngoài ra, màu sắc miếng sườn phải có màu hồng nhạt, khi ấn vào thấy được độ đàn hồi của sườn như vậy miếng sườn sau khi nướng xong sẽ mềm, ngọt hơn hẳn.
